Background: The BodyBags have been playing nationwide since 1993. With several singles and an 11-track CD released on Indie labels, they are waiting for that big break. The Bags write about the everyday anxieties of the modern age. The biting wit of 'Problem' with it's Dennis Hooper cop gone troppo. The gently-mocking '(I wanna die) Like a Rockstar' that portrays the egotistical rock star's most flamboyant, and sadly romantacised, demise. There is a new five-track CD Mini-Album due for release.

Line-up: Led by the charismatic, and impossibly dreadlocked, Brewer; the 'Bags were originally formed as a three piece. They recently took on another guitarist.

Left Wing, Right Wing, Ra! Ra! Ra! was recorded at Soundbanks Studios by Glenn Powell, the Manic Street Preachers first record producer, in December '98.

Although the tracks never deviate radically from the power-pop/punk vein they successfully combine a wide mix of musical influences. From the frantic insults, and final rejection, of 'Adore', and the cynical observations on the power of TV to shape society's thoughts (Pavlov's Dogs) we arrive at the deceptively mellow reggae of 'Jail'. The next track (Father of Lies) takes a close look at the deeper side of evil. "Conspiracy's my buzz Word, 'cose it covers my tracks well...". The last song is 'Wake-Up Call' -a real favourite at gigs, and a good high to close the CD.
